As Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role by providing strategic financial insights and innovative solutions for optimal decision making for our company and our clients. You will have a lot of room to contribute your own experience, knowledge and skills.

You will be an essential part of Aquablu's finance team. This team consists of an external office and direct collaboration with the CEO. There is also the opportunity to take the lead in expanding/shaping the finance team.

*This job is on-site at our beautiful office in Houthavens, Amsterdam* 

• Correct, timely and complete processing of financial figures.

• Analyzing figures and providing reporting/management information.
• Coordinating the P&C cycle; monthly closing, forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Processing forecasts and budgets in systems and templates.
• Managing budgeting model/planning tooling.
• Strategically assess the financial requirements of the organization, both in terms of operations and commercial aspects, to improve overall performance.
• Proactively optimize processes, systems and products in the department.
• Shape and execute the internal control roadmap for Aquablu, ensuring compliance with financial governance and compliance standards.
• Planning, overseeing, and implementing internal audit and control initiatives, maintaining the integrity of financial operations.

About you:

• Completed college/university degree in accounting or similar.
• 4+ years of work experience.
• Available 32 to 40 hours per week.
• Experience in finance within a trading or manufacturing company.
• You are approachable to colleagues, listen well and communicate openly.
• You thrive in a fast-paced and fast-growing organizational environment.
• Must possess: Experience with ICT applications, including Exact Online Trading.
• Eligible to work in the Netherlands without visa sponsorship (we cannot offer sponsorship).
• Fluent English and strong preference for Dutch.
• Plus points: Lean Six Sigma green belt or equivalent.
